Lighthouse is pleased to present

11th annual Dancing with the Detroit Stars

presented by

  and Great Heights Charitable Fund

Saturday, November 16, 2019
7pm - 12am
The Townsend Hotel, Birmingham

We hope you will join us for an electrifying evening filled with twists, twirls, and intrigue—all for a good cause.

The star-studded evening, produced by Gail & Rice, includes a silent auction with unique, desirable items and dance music. Local celebrities train with professional dancers, from Arthur Murray Dance Studio, for weeks leading up to one night of intense competition in front of a panel of judges and a sold-out audience.

You won’t be able to stay in your seat as five couples battle for the top prize.

The evening’s proceeds will directly benefit families and individuals struggling with poverty in our community. In July 2019, South Oakland Shelter and Lighthouse of Oakland County merged to provide a stronger response to poverty. Together, we are working to build communities that end poverty. You can help us accomplish this mission through this important event!

We look forward to seeing you and your guests for what promises to be an exceptional experience.

Meet the Dancers

Jennifer Granger
Jennifer Granger is well known for her philanthropic work all across the country. She began this work in New York City, where she joined her first nonprofit, the Junior League. Her passion then led her to join the Pajama program, which provides pajamas and books to children in foster care, and co-create a new nonprofit, Spirit of Hope, which helps provide scholarships to kids in the foster care system. After moving to Sacramento, Jennifer continued to be a force in the nonprofit world; working with Sacramento Children's Home, Make-A-Wish, City Year, Salvation Army, Crocker Museum, and the Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center. Her work was honored many times earning her multiple awards in the Sacramento area, including the City Year Ripple of Hope Award and an award from the Broadway Musical Gala. She hasn't slowed down since coming to Detroit in 2017 and Lighthouse is honored to have such an amazing person supporting our mission!
